FAQ
What you may need to know
Can vinyl damage paint?
Yes. It absolutely can.
Vinyl comes in a variety of forms - to last for short or long term. To stick to smooth surfaces or rough. Designed for inside or out. For flat panels or complex curves.
That’s why it’s important to select the right tool for the job.
But there are still risks and you should be aware that vinyl can damage surfaces. Usually these are surfaces that have been poorly prepared, are old, damaged, rusted, or not suited. For painted walls good prep is key, sand and wipe between coats. For vehicles, factory paint work is usually no issue, but panel beaten or touched up areas may have issues.
We take no responsibility for vinyl damaging a surface that we have been requested to install to.
Why are wraps so expensive?
A good wrap isn’t a quick job. We need to ensure we thoroughly clean a vehicle, which includes removing tar, grime, mould, moss, silicone, dirt, and whatever else has made its way into the areas you don’t see.
This will often involve a soapy water wash, a degrease, and an alcohol wipe. In really bad cases your vehicle may even require a clay bar for hard to remove grit.
We only use the leading products available to market. This includes the best from 3M and Avery. All of which come at a price, and in the last 5 years have seen a 50% rise in cost.
Lastly, we take care in our work. A vehicle is often your second most expensive possession, so we aren’t going to rush the process. Allowing the right amount of time means we can be patient with our work and deliver an exceptional service.
What files do you work with?
Usually a .ai .eps or .pdf format. These are known as vectors, which are great for signage as we can increase the sizes without losing quality. They can also be used to print and cut.
If you can’t supply us with vector files we may be able to recreate them for you. Please note artwork and file set up costs may be charged.
Do you have this colour available?
Sure! Kind of.
Our key suppliers are 3M and Avery. You can browse their colour options online, or request to view a colour sample book with us!
But don’t worry.
If your colour selection isn’t available off the shelf we can print a custom CMYK colour to match.
We offer complimentary test samples (with a work order), and are happy to match existing branding - be it a painted wall, a business card, or item of clothing.
I know someone who can do it cheaper.
Not a question…
But, that’s okay, you may find a cheaper price, and while we always aim to price our work competitively we won’t drop our standards or look for ways to cut corners to get your work.
Our pricing is a reflection of our service and quality.
When can you do my sign?
Our typical lead time is 2 weeks, from quote approval and artwork sign off.
This can change in busier periods of the year. But reach out to us - we’re always happy to accommodate our loyal clients and often work after hours and weekends to keep our workload under control.
How much to…?

These can be as fast as a couple of minutes to take photos and measurements, or may require a short meeting to discuss your options.
